![]() ![]() Program is based on temperature data gathered using a Fluke 62 IR Thermometer.Ability to individually calibrate Real Temp for each core of your CPU. ![]() Reads temperature information from all Intel Core based processors. If it reaches zero, your processor will start to thermal throttle or slow down so maximizing your distance away from TJMax will help your computer run at full speed and more reliably too.ĭownload Real Temp Support Forum Main Features As your CPU heats up, your Distance to TJMax will decrease. I could do much more than what I'm currently doing without the temps getting nearly this high.Real Temp is a temperature monitoring program designed for all modern Intel processors.Įach core on these processors has a digital thermal sensor (DTS) that reports temperature data relative to TJMax which is the safe maximum operating core temperature for the CPU. I'm just not comfortable with leaving it so high on idle temps when I know it can be so much lower, and it's kind of noticeable since things seem to be kind of slowing down, though I've noticed that's also partly because of Windows 10 and its many bugs since everything was perfect before I switched from Windows 7. I'm thinking it's almost certainly something with Windows 10 but unless someone else has had similar problems with it I have no idea. GPU was at about 31c, versus the now 41c, and was a little higher not long ago. My CPU is staying around 40-45 right now, and at the moment I'm actually doing a few scans on my computer so it's not as low as it could be, but even before, the lowest it was going was 40-41 or so, so there's no real difference. Now though it's going lower as it goes idle, but very slowly, and it's still over 10 degrees higher than normal. 58 is what I most commonly see it, and that's when I'm running pretty intensive games. My GPU under load stays around 55-60, never usually going over 60. Idle temps may not be as big of a deal but when it's such a big spike it seems like a big deal. I've just been using Ai Suite 3 and Open Hardware Monitor to check my temps, it's what I've used since I've had the computer and it's what I'm used to and like. Power settings are fine, basically the same as before, I have it set as balanced with minor tweaks to things like sleep mode, but that's it. Only thing I can think of that has changed is I actually just installed Windows 10, maybe that messed something up somehow? On average under full load my GPU stayed normally at around 55-58, which it still does actually, so it's only the idles that are a problem. I'm also not overclocking though when I do, my temps still actually seem lower except when I'm playing. Airflow is about the same as before, though the side fan is sitting up against a wall though (but still with 1-2 inches of space, plenty of room for breathing so that also shouldn't be the problem.), so does anyone have any idea what else the problem could be? I'm sure it isn't the way I put on the thermal paste or anything, as the computer isn't BRAND new (a few months old) but it's still not time to replace anything like that, and it wasn't seated wrong. I was told before that it may have been a problem with drivers which was a previous problem I had and that DID fix it, though that wasn't long ago and I haven't installed any since so that couldn't be the problem. I don't think it's a matter of dust, the computer is fairly new. My GPU isn't suffering as much, it stayed at around 31 before, but now it's averaging around 40. It reaches around 40, sometimes a couple higher, and normally before at idle it was mid 20's. So for seemingly no reason my temps are higher than normal at idle, almost double on the CPU. ![]()
